My Culinary Experience
After spending 10 years in corporate dining, Chef Kahelia transitioned into the food truck industry, assisting a variety of mobile kitchens. She learned the art of cooking on the go, adapting to fast-paced environments, and engaging directly with customers at events ranging from weddings to festivals.
This hands-on experience further enhanced her versatility and ability to cook in dynamic settings. Four years later, she found herself working in the Hyatt Regency Hotel's room service and catering department.
This role focused on mass production, fine dining, and plating for 1 to 1,000+ people at a time. She spent another four years mastering high-end hospitality, ensuring quality service in large-scale events.
My Journey to Entrepreneurship
Chef Kahelia’s next opportunity came when she was hired by College Fresh, a corporate company that allowed her to travel across the country as a private chef for fraternity and sorority houses on college campuses.
She worked as a fill-in trainer, ensuring that chefs were well-prepared to take over after her training period. This role involved not only cooking but also evaluating and mentoring other chefs to maintain high standards.
After three years of this eye-opening experience, Chef Kahelia made the bold decision to step away from corporate life and take a chance on herself. She knew that entrepreneurship would bring new challenges and growth opportunities, but she was ready to embrace them.
Today, she has built a name and brand for herself, bringing her years of experience, creativity, and passion into her own business. Every day is a new opportunity for learning, innovation, and delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
